NOTICE OF DECISION

M9 Motorway
Kildare County Council gives notice, in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, that it will close the following road:

The M9 Northbound and Southbound between Junction 3 (Athy) and Junction 2 (Kilcullen)

From: Friday 21st November 2014 at 7.00pm
To: Sunday 23rd November 2014 at 06.00am

and

From: Friday 28th November 2014 at 7.00pm
To: Sunday 30th November 2014 at 06.00am

This closure is necessary to facilitate the installation of Bridge Beams for a new structure across the carriageway.

Alternative routes:
Diversions will be in place and Northbound traffic will be required to exit at Junction 3 (Athy) and continue along the N78 towards Athy, then along the R418 towards Kilcullen, rejoining the M9 Motorway at Junction 2 (Kilcullen).

Southbound traffic will be required to exit at Junction 2 (Kilcullen) and follow the R448 (old N9) to the N78 Athy Road, rejoining the M9 Motorway at Junction 3 (Athy).

Diversionary Routes, which will be clearly signposted, (as agreed with An Garda Síochána) will be in place for the duration of the works.
