• New line to be built from Lucan  (Newcastle Road) to Blackhorse, where it links to the Red Line
• Makes good use of existing infrastructure and serving existing residents
• Connects with Metro West and Luas Red Line
• Light Rail – operating like Luas
• Infrastructure built to accommodate longer  vehicles (over 50 m long)
