What is Identification Registration Organisation?
In line with the Alternative Fuels Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2023/1804), Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) has been appointed as Identification Registration Organisation (IDRO) by the Department of Transport for issuing and managing unique identification (ID) codes to identify, as a minimum, charge point operators (CPOs) of publicly accessible recharging points and mobility service providers (eMSPs). IDRO Public Register
The IDRO Public Register can be found here. The Public register outlines the names of CPOs and eMSPs (both legal and trading), their IDRO Registration Number and their IDRO Issued ID.
How to Register for IDRO
The below process details how CPOs and eMSPs will register with the IDRO.
Download and complete the IDRO registration form
The IDRO registration form can be found here or can be requested from TII’s Data Office by emailing AFIRdata@tii.ie.
Send IDRO registration form to TII’s Data Office
Once complete, send the IDRO registration form to TII’s Data Office by emailing AFIRdata@tii.ie.
Validation of information
TII’s Data Office will validate the information provided in the IDRO registration form.
Publishing to Public Register
Once all information has been validated, TII will notify CPOs and eMSPs of their IDRO Issued ID. TII’s Data Office will publish CPOs and eMSPs to a public register, which can be found here.
Register to TII’s Data Exchange Platform
CPOs and eMSPs may elect to make their data available through TII’s Data Exchange Platform (DXP). CPOs and eMSPs can submit a separate registration form to avail of this. More detail on how to register with the DXP can be found here.
